2009

It has been a quiet year for us so far with us not attending many shows.  However, we are looking forward to starting our new baby, Janne, Candace the Scandinavian, on his show career and also plan to show Solo, our Australian Shepherd, at some of the shows.  Chip, his half brother, is taking some time out to mature and grow some coat!

We are delighted to congratulate Sidney on winning Best of Breed at Crufts 2009.  Our heartfelt thanks to Judge, Miss Jean Lanning, for making our dreams come true.

We are also pleased to announce that once again Sidney has been invited to take part in the Contest of Champions.  Check back later to see how we get on.

We are pleased to announce that Sidney, Ch Candace Hermes, is Top Vallhund for 2008, repeating his success of 2007.

On 6th November 2008 Tuva (Svedala Tuva Tosenfoting at Candace) and Jimi (Westorps Road Runner at Candace) became proud parents to 8 lovely puppies, 3 dogs and 5 bitches.  Jimi and Tuva's pedigrees are a combination of some of the top Swedish and Finnish kennels and we are looking forward to seeing their offspring which will bring some much needed new lines to the gene pool.

For the third year running, Sidney has won the Dog CC at the Swedish Vallhund Society Championship Show and then finished the day going Reserve Best in Show.  This now takes his CC tally to 13.

We are so thrilled with our 'Super Sid'.

Following on from his win at SKC, Sidney has continued his winning form, taking the Dog CC at all the shows he has been entered in and BOB at all bar one.  His CC tally is now 12 and he is currently joint top Vallhund for 2008.

Solo continues his winning ways having also won all his classes that he has been entered in.   Brother Chip has been busy growing coat and so has missed a few shows.

Sidney and I took a trip to SKC where he won  his 9th CC and also BOB.  He was then later Group 4 in a very strong Pastoral Group.  Well done Sidney, it was worth the rain and the mud and the long drive home!

Solo was also placed 2nd in a big Post Graduate class, his first one.

Sidney and I attended the Contest of Champions held in London on 5th April.  We competed against some of the top dogs in the UK.  We are pleased to say that Sidney made it through to the quarter finals, beating some good dogs on the way, notably Ch Minarets Secret Assignment, Rodney, the top winning Miniature Poodle!  

We had a wonderful night and it was good to be 'mixing with the stars!'   Well done Sid.
